Born in Tampere, Finland to a funny teacher from Lapland and an engineer from Helsinki who would always choose to have big worldly conversations instead of small talk if they could. Big brother one of the sharpest people I know. Humbling to try and play Trivial Pursuit with him.

Attended an international CISV summer camp at age 11, living together with new friends from around the world for a month. Formative experience, followed by many more camps. CISV is where I first learned about human rights, different cultures, peace, sustainability - and also facilitation & designing impactful learning experiences.

‍Always loved to draw but didn't think a career in graphic design or illustration would be useful for changing the world so attended the University of Helsinki, studying social sciences instead.

Got shit scared about climate change at 17. Later founded climate NGO 350 Finland with two friends. Was also active in university Greens, Plan Finland and CISV up until...

...moving to Denmark in 2015 to study at Kaospilot: a multidisciplinary school for changemakers and creative entrepreneurs. There I learned much more about process design and facilitation, systems thinking, project leadership & experience design. Was deeply impacted by incredible teachers like Carol Sanford (Regenerative Business), Bliss Brown (Imagine Chicago), Toke Moller (Art of Hosting) and Zaid Hassan (Social Labs Revolution).

After Kaospilot I returned to Helsinki and started a cooperative called The Magic Department with Dorothy Zablah, Noora Sirén and Veera Hyytiä. We held trainings on topics like Liberating Structures, climate leadership and visual thinking and hosted a podcast called How to Human.

During and after Kaospilot I also worked at the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra for 10 years, facilitating systems change work in the fields of lifelong learning and culture change for  the benefit of the climate and biodiversity. Most recently I helped develop the Kuutio method for building systemic understanding of society's toughest challenges.

In 2021, my kiwi partner and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl.

In 2023, my heart was shattered along with thousands of lives in Palestine. I began a daily art activism project called A Daily Drawing For Palestine Until A Permanent Ceasefire is in Place, channeling my heartbreak and thoughts into new pictures every evening after I'd put my daughter to bed. The project not only kept me sane but showed me that making art could be incredibly meaningful and indeed useful for changing the world. By the time my second child was born and I could no longer continue the project, my little art page on Instagram had gained 17 000 followers. I was and continue to be incredibly touched by the people I've gotten to know and who have reflected the value of my work back to me.

In August 2026 I moved to New Zealand with my family and this is where I now live and work. I want to channel all my available time, gifts and energy into a more beautiful world where all children are safe and our natural world regenerates. I believe that world is not only possible but already on its way. I would love to collaborate with you to light its way to us. I'll bring my drawing, writing, systems thinking and facilitation skills.
